This custom piece has a final size of 3 feet by 5 feet and is composed of local Wisconsin hardwoods. Figured oak, maple and walnut strips are carefully joined to create an abstract scene. The piece is framed with solid ash and secured to a high density backer board. After touching up blemishes, the entire piece was oiled for enhanced color, protection and sheen. This piece is weighs over 80 pounds, so a heavy duty French cleat was installed on the back for wall hanging. "No Laying Up" now enjoys it's space in a golfing friend's home.
