Acoustic Sound Board: Multicolored Pine 2023

This custom piece has a final size of 3 feet by 5 feet and contains 170 angled pine blocks. Some blocks undergo torching and subsequent oiling, whereas others are simply stained. All blocks in this piece are rough sanded to produce a rustic, weathered look. After the blocks are finished, they are secured to a high density backer board with glue and reinforced with brad nails from back. The edges are cleaned up and then framed with ebonized oak. This piece is well over 100 lbs, so a heavy duty French cleat was installed on the back for hanging. This piece enjoys it's final home in the Doco Vacations offices in Egg Harbor, WI.
